Is Russia seeking annexation of a part of Syria?

After sending its air force to the ME in October 2015, Russia does not approve only its military supremacy in the region but also gradually advances its territorial enlargement.

After latest changes in the constitution, Russia has been becoming an post-modern nation state which does not depend on the borders but on communities/ ethnicities/ nations. According to article 65- in accepted in 2001  “Accession to the Russian Federation and formation of a new subject of the Russian Federation within it shall be carried out as envisaged by the federal constitutional law.” The law based on the article says any mutual agreement initiated by the foreign state allows to federation to admit a new subject.  In 2014, they accepted a bill that allows Russia admits any subdivision where state loses its sovereignty.  Russia enforced latter bill for Crimea. Thus, Russia has paved the way for its geographic expanses.

As for Syria; Turkey drowned Russian war plane after it violated its borders several times that gave Russia to start an international propaganda against Turkey where has been an significant actor in Syria since the uprising started in 2011. It is clear that Russia wants Turkey to stay in its borders and Syrian leader Bashar Asad take control in Syria again.

If Russia is not able to keep Asad in the office and Syria as one entity, I expect that Russia will  annex a part of Syria by getting an agreement with Asad.
